Wireless

Anyone else have their router set up in the bedroom on one side of the house because it's the only room that has a phone jack in it and have their computer on the other side of the house and use the internet with wireless and it goes from 0 bars to full bars every 5 minutes?
Was that a run on sentence?
Steamed right now!

It's a toss up...

Would I rather...
change cell phone carriers
Have someone pull out all my teeth with a pipe wrench or
Have some one kick me continually in the crotch for an hour
I truly can't decide
I got some crazy deal to switch to Sprint but it's sucking my will to live

Patrick is my hero!!!

I now have wireless in my house. Patrick is awesome.
I'm blogging from my front room as I neglect my kids that are crying :)
It's been a great Sabbath so far...gotta go.

wireless, inlaws, projects, bond, environment

That's been my last few days...
Still no wireless in the house...hence the sparse blogs
Inlaws came in on Thursday night
We've been doin' projects like crazy...
Hanging and trimming door
Ceiling fan
Kitchen light
Blinds
Water line
Leaks
Grout
Gutters
Trim
Closets
Saw the new Bond flick last night...wow...two words...axe to the foot!
Bringin' the green elephant this weekend to wrap up the series.
That's my life.
Monday...wireless internet
After Monday...blogs are back!
Stick around.

I have internet...

after a week of fighting with at&t and an hour and seventeen minutes on the phone with them tonight before life group...good times.
we only have one jack in the house that works and that's in the bedroom.
only problem...Moses sleeps in our room right now...hence the dark picture.
can anyone tell me how to use my wireless router? it would be amazing to get on the internet and be able to see the keyboard.
I promise to have a productive post soon...

Long day

After work headed out to the new campus on Eureka way and set up sound equipment.
It's gonna sound awesome in there. Sean and the kiddos helped us get everything out there...thanks dude.
John Culp is the sound genius that helped make everything happen...you're the mvp dude!
Got home late...missed the vp debate.
Was it any good?
The presidential debate was a snooze in my opinion...no one willing to recognize there's kind of a lot going on in our country right now.
I'm tired...it's gonna be a long weekend.

Is this cool?

I came across this today. I would never pay that kind of money for something like that but I wonder if this type of this is going to make books obsolete. It would save a lot of trees, and my backpack would weigh a lot less. It seems like the books version of moving from cd's to an ipod. I love the feel of a book and I highlight everything and write notes all over in the margins. Would you read a book like this?

My son the mechanic

Zeke only watches one movie...Cars. He will quote you every line. And his new obsession is Legos. He makes these crazy cars every day. I go to help him and he makes me leave. He just sits in his room and comes out with these crazy things. I seriously think he's going to be a gear head or a mad scientist. Watch out world!

A good hour

I just spent an hour through video chat talking with the one girl in the world that owns my heart. Alyssa is so amazing and I miss every second that she isn't up here with me. It was so awesome to see her face tonight as we were talking through the computer. It's crazy the difference it makes when you can see someone as opposed to just talking to them on the phone. I could see her wiping the tears away when she laughs and I could see her great smile. The phone was just not cutting it the last couple days. It's been a crazy day...5 hours of waiting for internet but this last hour made it totally worth it.
Thanks AT&T...even though 4 hours ago I wanted to walk into your corporate office and go postal, you allowed me to spend an evening with my wife and not feel like I'm alone and 600 miles away!

This really made me laugh

Technology is awesome sometimes. I'm sitting on the couch watching the football game...writing some blogs...watched that commercial on tv and laughed really hard...thought to myself...why not share the love with my blogmates...googled fedex kinkos commercial...grabbed the embedded youtube link...30 seconds...done.

Our Life Group is sponsored by Mac

This was my dining room table on Tuesday night for Life Group. Jon and Ian had their Macs out to enter into depths of nerdery that should never be delved into... so naturally I had to add my little white step brother to the mix. Maybe our Life Group can get sponsored by Apple and we can all get jackets with matching patches or something. Is that taking this too far?

Halo vs. Jesus

Check out this article. Thanks Ian. I heard this kind of thing is taking off in the Sudan :) I think it's possible that they are asking the wrong questions.
I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Click

After Daley yelled at my wife for not taking pictures at the Cobalt season show, she hauled the family back up to the roof of the Life Arts building the next day and started snappin' off shots. (He didn't yell but it was a good push because she loves to look at life through a camera lens). I don't have enough money to get her photoshop yet but I think she takes darn good shots. My son is a pretty cool muse though! He gets his hair from his daddy!

ipod donation???

Yep...so I'm meeting this guy for coffee at the Grove Grille, decide to talk to Aaron over in the bookstore for one minute. Come back to my table and someone stole my ipod. My Macbook was sitting there too but they left it. The manager saw three kids running off and there you have it...no more ipod. 60 gigs of love down the tubes. Is it karma for the amount of music I ripped from friends...oh wait, I don't believe in karma. Oh well...whatcha gonna do. I guess God is dealing with my attachment to stuff. I knew I could make it spiritual if I tried hard enough.

Now I'm rockin' the Elph

I got the SD600. Thanks to everyone that gave me advice on this. They gave me a 15 MB card so I can take like 4 pictures right now. Plus I'm pretty camera dumb so it's going to take me a little bit but you'll start to see a lot more pics that don't come from my macbook sitting in front of my fridge and my kitchen cabinets that still don't have doors on them! Keep your eyes peeled for pics in the future.

What to do with my Best Buy gift certificates

So I'm contemplating getting the Cannon elf 600 with my ridiculous amount of Best Buy gift certificates that I got for Christmas. I messaged Carlos and he told me that this was the camera he used to shoot all of his adoption video's in Korea. I want something small that I can take with me anywhere but that shoots great pictures and video's. Any of you tech guru's out there have any suggestions before I go and buy this? Let me know...
