Pastor superhero's

This guys blog is awesome. He pairs up some well known pastors as superhero's. Thought it was fitting with the conversations we've been having at the Stirring.

joel olsteen is teflon man...nothing sticks to him. it's like his message...Jesus, The Bible Salvation...The Sacraments and Justification all slide away and all you're left with is nothing.

As a psuedo-comic book geek myself, I would like to take a moment and address a recurring gripe about the message at the Stirring...

Look at the picture posted with the blog. Do you see? Superman actually DOES work in a team!!!!! It's called the flippin' JUSTICE LEAGUE!!! I love the X-Men as much as anyone else, but you gotta quit misrepresenting the Big Blue Boy Scout man!

Sorry Nate, but I get that slap-yourself-on-the-forehead feeling each time you use that analogy in church. I feel better now, carry on.

I was waiting for someone to call that out....

I guess I'm just old school ... you know those old school Superman movies ... Clark Kent saves the day ... Lex Luther plans this evil scheme to destroy the world ... Superman looks sexy walking out on a balcony ... Louis Lane falls in love ... they fly together ... you know, old school Superman ...
