I saw Bernie again last night
Last night I ran into Bernie from Best Buy. I hadn't seen him in a couple months but he remembered my name and we had a chance to talk for a little bit and he got to say hi to my family. His leg is doing a little better but he's still inching out a living by washing people's windows at Best Buy everyday. If you're shopping there over the holidays look for him.

well i clicked on that old article and now i remember it is the one with the sweet comment controversy... and it looks like a bunch of spam comments too. mmm spam.
but anyway, i met bernie once too. i didnt strike up a very deep conversation or anything though. conversation is something i've been bad with since ... forever!
So many Bernies in this world...... right here next to Pachappa Hill/Riverside Plaza/railroad tracks and as well as over there in third world countries. There is one in the Mission Grove Plaza, if you are there a little after 8 in the morning you'll sometimes find him looking in the small dumpster just outside of subway.... but welcomes small bags of fresh food left beside his bicycle).
(I keep wanting to go on a rant about the time and money spent on T&T - junk nutritionally, spiritually, and socially... but there is a bigger picture that I do not see, and the leaders of the church do. So I am obedient, and toss in our sacks of candy ahead of time, send my husband to do parking lot duty and kids to help out. )
I met Bernie on the bus and ran into him later over by the 99 cent store. Nice man. He came in to BnN when I was working in the cafe, too. Gave him a big cup o' joe. He said he had a couple kids around my age.
