Noisetrade is going to change some things my friends!
So Derek Webb pretty much came up with a genius idea to give your music away for free and increase your fan base and sales, without getting bamboozled by the big wigs. Go to Noisetrade and listen to the idea...it's awesome. If you're a musician you should really think about this.

great idea.. but that video is painful to watch and their execution may be too much too soon. someone could take this idea and run with it before they do. wonder if they have the system patented, or it could wind up as another "feature" on myspace.

this is good news for a lot of artists out there (possibly including myself) because it would be cool to promote songs i have written and see what people think along with getting music in return, BRILLIANT! now just do it! haha
aw, there's the catch. artists that have no audience have no money and a site like this would cost thousands to produce and the same to host the content and bandwidth in rich media content every month. where's the capital... ?
