New Orleans Pics (part 3)

On Sunday we took a tour of the detestation in New Orleans. There are some houses that still look like they did the day after Katrina, with everything still in them...16 months later. The 3rd pic is where a house used to be. Those are the cinder blocks that the house rests on. This was right next to the levy break and there are blocks of devastation that look like this. The houses were blown back about 5 blocks into other houses. The purple house is Lousille's house. This was the first house we gutted when I went last January. It's awesome to see that they finished the electrical and drywall and it is now ready to be sold. Her house was in the lower 9th ward. The last picture is of Joy Fellowship church. We stopped by to say hi to the people there. They have been feeding people and handing out supplies since the day Katrina hit. They are still doing it 2 days a week 16 months after the hurricane. Awesome ministry.
