Pray for me
I'm watching "The Golden Compass" with my wife. I actually found myself dead asleep half way through it. It was probably Jesus making me sleepy to solidify my salvation and keep me away from the world's poison :) Too many things to keep up with in the movie. My brain already hurts with the amount of stuff I'm thinkin' about. I don't think it has room for Satanic movies right now!

I read that book while I was in Africa. (One of the other volunteers had brought it with her, and we were beyond starved for something to do.) I didn't find it that exciting of a book. It didn't really have a point at which it caught my attention and made me want to finish it, but again, we had NOTHING to do for hours on end, so I finished it, probably in under a week. Anyway, the point of this was, I don't see what people are so concerned about. I don't understand why people were saying it encouraged kids to follow satan rather than God, and all that other nonsense. (But then, I'm a big fan of Harry Potter, which has some opposition as well...) Okay, so it is somewhat of a fight against the church... but hello, this is not supposed to be happening in OUR world the way it exists currently. I could go on... I won't. I should add, however, I have not seen the movie, so it could be far different than the book, I suppose.

I couldn't stay awake for this movie either. It was too complicated for my sleep deprived brain.
