Halo vs. Jesus
Check out this article. Thanks Ian. I heard this kind of thing is taking off in the Sudan :) I think it's possible that they are asking the wrong questions.
I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Best quote of the article:
“If you want to connect with young teenage boys and drag them into church, free alcohol and pornographic movies would do it,” said James Tonkowich, president of the Institute on Religion and Democracy, a nonprofit group that assesses denominational policies. “My own take is you can do better than that.”
awesome.
This is two posts in a week that have something to do with Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary The Driscoll talk was recorded there, and there is a quote from a professor in this article.
Southeastern is thirty minutes from my house. Please don't think that everone here in the "bible belt" is alike.
Are you located below the belt? Ha! Nothin' but love for ya Shannon.
Zing! That was a "low blow".
Ba-Dum... Ching
(I know. That's really cheesy.)
Sounds like great contextual ministry.
I have been known to set up multiple TV's running Mario Kart on a N64... I always hear the same thing... Can we play Halo?
Honestly, I think it's a long way away from pornography, but I wouldn't do it.
Here is a quote from a local church website...
"The R*** Youth is revelutionizing what youth ministry is all about. With 14,000 square feet of youth facilities, every youth service is complete with praise & worship, Playstation 2 & Xbox game centers, billiard & foosball tables, dynamic preaching, a © Starbucks Cafe and more."
Besides the 26 GAME STATIONS and 4 POOL TABLES, What's so revolutionary about this?
I am not really sure how I feel about this issue and have kind of struggled back and forth with cultural relevancy, emerging philosophy, and church marketing. Here is a related article that I am still gathering my thoughts about.

The views and beliefs expressed do not necessarily represent myself or my husband ;)
